Sara Rossi, winery Pino Rossi

Although wine production has always been a part of our family, we started to take it more seriously in 2008 when we won the first gold medal for our Cabernet Sauvignon in Vinistra. It was a turning point and a great incentive for us.

Sara Rossi, representative of winery “Pino Rossi” from Vižinada:

We are a small family winery. Aware of the advantages of Istria, we decided to continue the tradition of our grandparents in wine production.

Although wine production has always been a part of our family, we started to take it more seriously in 2008 when we won the first gold medal for our Cabernet Sauvignon on Vinistra fare. It was a turning point and a great incentive for us.

Today we have 6 labels and our wine can be found in wine bars and restaurants from Zagreb to Dubrovnik. Still, our favorite is to hand out wine on our doorstep and tasting room. We believe that we will have an even bigger offer in the future because we have planted new plantations.

Production has been modernized, but we always try to stick to our tradition and high quality. We started making wine because we love it, and good wine takes a lot of love. Only such succeed in this business.

Wines and winery “Pino Rossi”

The family vineyards and cellar are located on the slopes of the western Istrian vineyards in the municipality of Vižinada, more precisely in the small village of Bajkini, which rises above the valley of the river Mirna.

Pino Rossi currently cultivates 5 hectares of modern vineyards. The vineyards have a south-western exposure, which enables maximum sunshine, and with the microclimate and unique terroir, you get top quality grapes, which is the basis for the specificity of Pino Rossi wine.
