Mauricio Beaković who produces extra virgin olive oils in his family farm in the area of Kaštelir:
We started in the 90s when my dad planted the first olive trees but started branding our olive oil in year 2010. It is a family farm with more than 1000 olive trees in the municipality of Kaštelir-Labinci.
Getting started is hard, but with family support it’s getting easier. It is important to invest in marketing in order to break into markets and compete with other countries with larger quantities.
We received praise at international competitions and entered in Flos Olei, an Italian-English guide to the world’s top extra virgin olive oils, which encourages us. That is why we plan to raise new plantations in the near future in order to reach larger quantities.

The Beaković family grows olives and produces olive oil in the municipality of Kaštelir-Labinci.
Every year, they increase the number of olives in the cultivation and production of olive oil, and with it the way of more modern work and approach to the whole process, from cultivation, processing, storage and even the sale itself.
The quality is confirmed by the inclusion in 2020 by Flos Olei, an Italian-English guide to the world’s top extra virgin olive oils.
